Sources
Every factual claim about a product, version, price, licence, limit or feature is checked against a primary source, usually the vendor’s own documentation, changelog, pricing page or code repository, and listed in the Sources section of the page with the date it was checked. Advice about search engines follows the search engines’ own published documentation. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out.
Testing claims
We only say we installed, used or measured something when we did. Each CMS profile states its evidence level: the vendor’s documentation, the official demo, or our own installation. See how we test.
Independence
We are not paid by the vendors we cover, we don’t accept free licences in exchange for coverage, and no vendor reviews a page before it is published. We have no affiliate links. If any of this changes, the change will be disclosed on the about page and on each affected page.
Archive material
Some pages draw on archived copies of the phpWordPress website and its support forum (2004–2006), held by the Internet Archive. We link to the archived source, quote it without alteration except to remove the usernames, names and contact details of forum members, and never invent archive content.
Updates
Pages show the date they were last updated. When a product changes in a way that affects what we wrote, we update the page and its Sources. Significant errors are handled under our corrections policy.
Use of software tools
We use software, including AI writing and research tools, to help draft and check pages. Every page is reviewed against its sources before it is published, and the facts on it are our responsibility.
