In January 2006 a forum member posted that Google had indexed a three-week-old site quickly, then added that they liked the new XML feeds and the drop-down search box. A staff member thanked them. It is a single customer's comment on the forum, not independent evidence of the product's performance.

Didn't know where to post this, so apologies if it's in the wrong place I have held off promoting and developing my Word Press sites, to be honest, as I am waiting for the new release (due today) that addresses a few concerns I had. These have been mentioned elsewhere in the forums. However, I have been throwing the odd article here and there onto [link removed] That site was 'launched' 3 weeks ago. I say 'launced', but bear in mind I've done next to nothing with it. Today, I had a quick look on Google and got this: [link removed] Already, Google has indexed everything on there. That's bloody quick, in my opinion, and I'm now really excited about going full pelt at my Word Press sites. Cheers, a forum member

Learning more about this every day..... Love the new XML feeds AND that drop down search box - only just noticed that it drops down a list of potential articles as you type the search term in. Very smart!!!!!

The Testimonials board holds this short thread, titled “Praise”. The first post, dated 20 January 2006, comes from a forum member who describes holding off on promoting their sites while waiting for a new release. They add that a site launched three weeks earlier, with little done to it, had already been indexed by Google, and they called that quick.
On 26 January 2006 the same member returned, saying they were learning more about the product daily and loved the new XML feeds and the drop-down search box that lists possible articles as you type. A staff member replied with thanks. The auto-complete search matches the AJAX feature announced in December 2005.
The thread is one customer’s opinion in a company-run forum. It shows what at least one user noticed, and it does not measure indexing speed, which depends on many factors outside the software. We do not name forum members and have not tested the product.
phpWordPress was a commercial PHP article manager from Spoonlabs, renamed Vivvo in July 2006 and unrelated to WordPress. See the Testimonials board for other threads of this kind and the news timeline for the company’s own announcements.
