On 15 August 2005 phpWordPress staff announced that the Enterprise licence would sell for $199 USD until 1 September, with buyers keeping full benefits after the offer ended. The archived news page gives a different end date, 25 September, so the two records disagree on how long the offer ran.

This forum notice is a one-line sales announcement. On 15 August 2005, phpWordPress staff wrote that until 1 September the Enterprise licence would sell for $199 USD. Anyone who bought during that period would keep full benefits after the offer ended.
The archived news page carries the same offer under the heading “Special summer discount”, but it says the offer ran until 25 September and mentions a $40 saving. The two archived records do not agree on the end date. We have no later correction, so we report both and make no claim about which was right.
phpWordPress was a commercial PHP article manager from Spoonlabs. It was renamed Vivvo in July 2006 and was unrelated to WordPress. In 2005 it sold in licence tiers, and the Enterprise tier sat between the Standard and Developer packages. Discounts like this one were part of how the company sold those tiers. A later announcement, the version 3.0 launch, offered a different Enterprise discount.
The thread is kept here for completeness. It records the price and a time limit, and it says nothing about features or fixes. The News board lists the rest of the notices from the period.
